Heritage Day 2011

It was a day of fun, food, art and sculling. Visitors to the Annual Heritage Day festivities hosted by the Museum were treated to food prepared by some of Hope Town's best cooks, art by local artists and interactive displays of life in days gone by. Among the highlights of the day were the first Annual Wyannie's Sculling Competition and the Annual Sexy Knees contes. Sculler Buddy Malone took home the championship for the sculling competition and reigning champion Chester Thompson was voted Sexiest Knees. Heritage Day is not only a fun day for residents and visitors but also a fundraiser for the Museum. Overall the day was a success and we look forward to next year. Heritage Day is traditionally held on the first Saturday in March so mark you calendars now for Heritage Day 2012.
